Sorry Family! I have been bad and not posting recently, I will try again as its helpful for me and gives me some sort of journaling.
I do have pictures of these things!!
At the end of the summer Lacey and I went camping down at Arches National Park with some friends (this was after Lacey's leg incident so we didn't do all of the hikes just some short ones).
Two weekends ago we had a Karate Tournament. If I had won my second fight I would've gotten 2nd but because I lost I got 5th (this was in sparring).
Lacey got 4th in forms so she got a little trophy.
I'll add pics to this post

Student Teaching and Sunday Dinners
I start my student teaching this Tuesday. It's been interesting to be in the classroom working with my cooperating teacher. I think we will get along very well. It's a strange position, student teaching, because I'm in this weird limbo space where I am going to be in the class, teaching everyday but it's not my name on the door or on the grades. I need to be in the school for contracted hours (7:30-3:00) but I don't have any keys to the building or my classroom.
During a meeting, I was praised for presenting my group's discussion points. "Wow. and she's a student teacher presenting to you all." I know it wasn't meant to be condescending but boy did it come out that way. My friend and classmate is an intern, which basically means that she is a student teacher with her own class who stays all year instead of one semester like me. I'm concerned that there will be more emphasis placed on my status as a student and less on my status as a teacher, despite the fact that the intern and I have the exact same amount of experience.
M. and I have been making lots of friends in our ward which is good since M's old roommates moved out of the ward to buy houses and have babies. We like having people from the ward over for Sunday dinner to make friends, play board games, and give an extra good reason to clean the house on a weekly basis. This week I am making colcannon and sausages.
